Report on Environment Day Activities – Bangalore

Green Commandos in Bangalore hosted a variety of activities, some on its own and some in collaboration with other organizations. Please find reports for all the activities hereunder.

1. Sapling plantation drive with Punarathna – Kengeri – 29th May, 2011.

2. Clean up drive in Govt. Schools (Green Clubs) – Koramangala – 4th June, 2011.

3. Black Spot Elimination drive – Indiranagar – 5th June.

4. Black spot elimination, cloth bag distribution and waste management awareness with Big Bazaar – Malleswaram – 5th June.

5. Sapling plantation at Lowry Memorial College with Subex – K.R. Puram – 5th June.

6. Children’s events at Goodwill Apartments by Samruddhi – Vijayanagay – 4th and 5th June.

7. Environment Day activities at Bangalore Scottish School – J.P. Nagar – 6th June.

The activities undertaken were just a start and we look forward to strengthening our base in all of the mentioned facets.
